Group Registration for Unpublished Works (GRUW)

On March 15, 2019, the Copyright Office implemented a group registration option for unpublished works. This option is called Group Registration for Unpublished Works (GRUW) and may be used to register up to ten unpublished works for a single fee. This option replaced the prior accommodation for registering multiple unpublished works as part of an “unpublished collection” using an online application or a paper form.

Applicants are required to use a new application form specifically designed for this group option and must submit the application and required digital deposit copies through the electronic Copyright Office (eCO) registration portal.

This page provides resources and guidance for the GRUW procedure.
