Section 108 Study Group Announces Public Roundtables; Requests Comments
and Requests to Participate
The Section 108 Study Group of the Library of Congress seeks comment on
certain issues relating to the exceptions and limitations applicable to
libraries and archives under section 108 of the Copyright Act. The issues
relate primarily to eligibility for the section 108 exceptions and copies
made for purposes of preservation and replacement. The Section 108 Study
Group also announces public roundtable discussions of these issues. Roundtables
will be held in Los Angeles on March 8, 2006, and in Washington, D.C., on
March 16, 2006. The deadline for requests to participate in either roundtable
has been extended to 5:00 p.m. EST on March 3, 2006. (Read further
