News about the Location and Webcast of the Roundtable
in the Rulemaking on Notice of Recordkeeping for Use of Sound Recordings
under Statutory License; Reply Comments Available on Copyright Office

The location of the public roundtable discussion
concerning issues raised in the course of an ongoing rulemaking proceeding
to adopt requirements for giving copyright owners reasonable notice of
the use of their works for sound recordings under the section 114 and
section 112 statutory licenses and for how records of such use will be
kept and made available to copyright owners has been changed. The May
10 roundtable will now be held in the Mumford Room (LM-649) in the James
Madison Memorial Building, Library of Congress, 101 Independence Avenue,
S.E., Washington, D.C. 20559. The discussion will begin at 9 a.m. and
continue until 5 p.m. Seating is limited.
TVWorldwide.com,
in cooperation with the International Webcasting Association, will be
webcasting the roundtable discussion. Although the Copyright Office is
not officially sponsoring this webcast, we are pleased that it will be
made available to viewers on the Internet.
