Copyright Office Announces Public Hearing on Federal Resale Royalty Right

The Copyright Office will host a public hearing on April 23, 2013, to discuss issues relating to the consideration of a federal resale royalty right in the United States. The hearing will provide a forum for interested parties to address the legal and factual questions raised in the comments received by the Office in response to its September 2012 Notice of Inquiry. The agenda and the process for submitting requests to participate in or to observe the hearing are available on the Copyright Office website at www.copyright.gov/docs/resaleroyalty/. The deadline for submission of requests to participate in the hearing is April 12, 2013, at 5:00 p.m. eastern time.
