Copyright Office Seeks Chief Financial Officer

The Register of Copyrights has announced a search for a chief financial officer to join the Copyright Office’s leadership team. This is a new, supervisory position reporting directly to the Register.  The Copyright Office CFO will oversee budgetary matters, procurement, contracting, and accounting, as well as royalty collections and disbursements for certain statutory licenses under the Copyright Act.  Experience in or ability to master federal appropriations laws and processes is especially important. Candidates should possess respect for the public objectives and economic impact of the Nation’s copyright laws and understand the statutory role of the Copyright Office in the digital economy.  For more information, see the complete announcement here.
